The platform stated that in the initial phase, key nodes including Eastern District, Kennedy Town, Cheung Sha Wan, Tai Kok Tsui, Ma Hang Chung, Yau Tong, Cha Kwo Ling, and Tsuen Wan will be selected for research, with the aim of promoting the orderly implementation of specific plans by the government. Meanwhile, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Hong Kong's reunification next year, a parade event linking waterfronts across various districts will be held to showcase phased accomplishments.
During the event, Legislative Council member Ho Chun-yin had an in-depth exchange with Chairman Xiong Jiong. Ho Chun-yin pointed out that waterfront development requires synergistic drivers from both the economy and industry, encouraging enterprises to contribute their technical expertise through collaboration. Chairman Xiong Jiong expressed full agreement. He noted that Victoria Harbour is a precious public space in Hong Kong, and the connectivity and environmental quality of the waterfront directly affect citizens' daily lives and the city's image. This support for the establishment of the "Victoria Harbour Link" represents another proactive move by the company in the local sustainable development sector, following its earlier foray into Hong Kong's electric vehicle charging business.
